On Saturday, October 22nd St Stephen hosted a Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction to support the Faith Community Nurse Program of St Stephen and the United Methodist Church of Antioch. We hope you were able to join us for this fun event! We were able to raise nearly $3,000 for the FCN Ministry!
A huge thank you goes out to the planning team: John & Susan Cook, Howard & Mary Geier, Sharon Gregory, Ardy Lange, Diane & Garry Warner for the countless hours spent planning, meeting, cooking, setting up and taking down. Countless thank yous go to so many others: Sue Redman, Shelby Wais, Ardy’s daughter-in-law, Vicky Hill, Gloria Rowland, Melanie Fuhrmann, Toni Schramm, John & Pam Makis, Dennis Friedle, Dave Telleen for their contributions. And huge thanks go to our Faith Community Nurse, Gloria Stevens, for her dedication to her calling to nursing ministry in our midst. To compile a list of thanks is a risky endeavor because so many people worked out in front as well as behind the scenes to prepare for the event and make sure the evening went smoothly. We are so grateful to everyone for their hearts and hands to make this event a joy-filled celebration and affirmation of our nurse ministry!
Many thanks go to the St Stephens Community, UMC of Antioch, St Ignatius Episcopal Church, and other members of the community who attended and supported the event and continue to support the FCN Ministry with time, finances, and prayer. Going forward we will continue to need those same prayers as well as time and financial support to make certain the mission of the Faith Community Nurse Program can continue to work toward health and wellness in our community. If you’d like to get more involved please see Pastor Rebecca Gordon, Gloria Stevens, our Faith Community Nurse, or Dave McAlonan, Council President of St Stephen.
