Palm Sunday services will begin with our children leading the congregation into the sanctuary, singing "Prepare Ye The Way of the Lord!", commemorating Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
Maundy Thursday services will include Individual Absolution of sins, Handwashing (representing Jesus washing the feet of the disciples), Communion and the Stripping of the Altar.
Good Friday services will include "The Passion of Our Lord" According to John, the Procession of the Cross and the Solemn Reproaches.
- "The Passion of Our Lord" refers not only to the Crucifixion, but to the entire chain of events, from the conspiracy against Jesus through the Crucifixion on Golgotha.
- During "The Procession of the Cross", worshipers participate in songs, prayer and scriptural readings to reflect on the last words of Christ at stops on His way to be crucified.
- "The Solemn Reproaches" is an ancient text of Western Christendom associated with the ending of a Good Friday service. The Reproaches follow the pattern of Psalm 78, which rehearses God’s continuing acts of faithfulness and Israel’s repeated rebellion.
Easter Sunday features two services, celebrating the resurrection of our Lord. We offer an Easter Brunch throughout the morning in our Fellowship Hall from 8am until 11am.
