We had a fabulous turnout late Wednesday afternoon (May 23rd) for a special installment of our popular "Messy Church" event under the theme "Stewardship of the Earth". This Messy Church centered on our new raised bed garden set up between the Fellowship Hall and the Playground. If all goes well, we will grow a variety of produce which will be donated to the Food Pantry at our community partner in Antioch... Open Arms Mission.
As always with Messy Church, the (very flexible) agenda involved:
- Chill: spend time together in casual fellowship, exploring and sharing the Christian story.
- Chew: time spent sharing a simple supper together.
- Create: a time to allow our creativity to show through various crafts and activities
- Celebrate: With song, story, and scripture, we follow a theme at each event in a relaxed way.
Here are a couple of pictures to get you started; click any one to enlarge it and navigate to the others. As always, our online "Photo Album" is on the Saint Stephen Lutheran Church Facebook page. You do not need to have a Facebook account to visit our page and see the pictures and various posts!
