Wellness Walks schedule for September 2018. All walks are on Tuesdays at 8:00am, each week at a different Lake County Forest Preserve.
Sept. 4: Hastings Lake at the Munn Road parking lot, Lindenhurst. This is on the south side of Hastings Lake, along Grand Avenue (Hwy 132.) We will walk from this small lot to the Blue Loop, continue south and west for 25 minutes, then return. Approximately 1.5 miles.
Sept. 11: McDonald Woods Forest Preserve, Lindenhurst: Entrance is located on the south side of Grass Lake Road, just went of US Rt. 45, east of Deep Lake Rd and east of Beck Rd. We’ll walk the west side of the loop to the intersection of the parts of the lake, then back. 1.4 miles total.
Sept. 18: Grant Woods North, Lake Villa. Entrance is on the south side of Hwy 132, east of Hwy 59 and west of Fairfield Road. We’ll walk the 1.3 mile loop (east loop) plus the 0.3 mile wood chip trail, 1.6 miles total.
Sept. 25: Grant Woods South, Ingleside. Park in the lot south of Monaville Road, east of Hwy 59, the first lot on the left. We will walk 0.3 miles to the Monaville Road tunnel, continue into Grant Woods North, then back. Approx 1.6 miles.

The old print maps (.pdf) are within the internal menus, but they can more easily be found with a Google search.
