Church Staff Change

Many of you are aware that in January our long-time Secretary, Penny Bartels, resigned her position as Saint Stephen’s Secretary. We are sad to see such a committed worker and long-time friend to Saint Stephen go. Penny is a very private person and did not want a farewell. However, she wanted us to give everyone her best. We are grateful for Penny and the gifts she has shared with us!

A Personnel Committee has been formed from the Executive Committee of the Council and is working on a job description for a new position of part-time Administrative Assistant. The new position will expand our search for someone with skills beyond secretarial computer and telephone to new forms of communication, technology, and social media. We hope to find someone soon, however, we will take our time to find the right fit!

In the meantime, we are grateful to Sharon Gregory for helping out in the office keeping things running, answering phones, and making sure worship materials are ready each week. Please continue to call and email the office as normal. We are doing our best to keep office hours the same from 8am-12noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If something is being overlooked please let Vicky Hill or Pastor Rebecca know.
