"Hot off the presses!" Here's the official Book of Reports detailing the happenings and outcomes of the 32nd Metro Chicago Synod Assembly meeting, held early last month. [.pdf/Adobe format]
Because of its distance from Chicago, our congregation is often seen as mostly removed from the influence of our home Synod. Despite that, there is still a considerable amount of support (in various forms) we receive, as well as issues of church policy, financial disbursement, Social Justice action, etc., about which member congregations need to be aware.
The "meat" of the report starts on Page 29. Outgoing Synod Bishop Miller's comments are especially relevant to the current state of, and future plans for, the Chicago Metro Synod and its congregations.
