In case you missed it, the Christian Wellness Ministry (CWM) page is now "live". It mirrors the CWM brochure, and outlines the services available. The CWM page can be accessed from the websites of the participating churches; while you're here on the Saint Stephen website, there's a link on the Home Page and also an option under "About Us".
A new CWM brochure has been produced, and is available (in .pdf format) for downloading / printing. Click HERE for the file...
The following classes will be offered through Catholic Charities, Council on Aging and the Christian Wellness Ministry (CWM). A small donation would be appreciated but if unable, seniors will not be denied registration or entry into any of these classes. - Wed October 2nd: St John’s United Church of Christ – Waukegan – 8 week fall prevention program – Matter of Balance at 10:00am. Read the following book and then discuss with the group: We Were Strangers Once by Betsy Carter. Questions? Call Kari Pohar at Catholic Charities at 847-740-6708. The CWM team is looking for a few talented Crafters to hold occasional classes; also looking for a person who enjoys visiting with seniors to make home visits.
The CWM Leadership Team meets on the 1st Thursday of every month at 10:00 am at one of the sponsoring churches. If you'd like to attend, call our church office to find out which church will be hosting the meeting.
