In case you missed it, the Christian Wellness Ministry (CWM) page is now "live". It mirrors the CWM brochure, and outlines the services available. The CWM page can be accessed from the websites of the participating churches; while you're here on the Saint Stephen website, there's a link on the Home Page and also an option under "About Us".

The following classes will be offered through Catholic Charities, Council on Aging and the Christian Wellness Ministry (CWM). A small donation would be appreciated but if unable, seniors will not be denied registration or entry into any of these classes. - December 4th & 11th (Wed) at 10:00am "Intro to Memoir Writing", 600 N Main, Wauconda. 2 day memoir writing program – Join us to learn more about memoirs and how to write your own - December 6th (Fri) at 12:00pm Senior Book Club; 1628 Deep Lake Road, Lake Villa. Read the book “A Christmas Peril” by J A Hennrickus (Available at the Grayslake Library front desk) before the meeting and join us for a book discussion. Lunch is available - December 13th (Fri) at 10:00am "Eliminating the Stigma of Mental Health", Assisi Homes of Gurnee, 3495 Grand Ave. Join us for a presentation on mental illness, treatment options and ways to help break the stigma of mental health. - December 19 (Thurs) at 11:00am "Values Based Budgeting", Assisi Homes of Gurnee, 3495 Grand Ave. LUNCH AND MUSIC INCLUDED!! Join us for a presentation by Thrivent on budgeting and ways to reach your goals. Presentation will be following by lunch and live music

The "Wellness Walks" program has concluded for 2019. This Fitness & Fellowship activity has walkers meeting at a different local Forest Preserve (or interesting downtown) each Tuesday morning at 8am for a modest walk. Everyone is welcome to participate! If you have suggested routes, or would like more information, please contact Melanie Fuhrmann @ 847-703-0890.
The CWM Leadership Team meets on the 1st Thursday of every month at 10:00 am at one of the sponsoring churches. If you'd like to attend, call our church office to find out which church will be hosting the meeting.
