Like so many other churches across the country, Saint Stephen Lutheran has adapted to the current situation, temporarily cancelled in-Sanctuary worship services, and started streaming them via the internet.
Since we hadn't offered such technology before, there was a considerable learning curve on the parts of everyone involved: Pastor, Technology Team, and church members. The obstacles have largely been overcome after today's (3/29) service, which was the third to be streamed.
Almost all of the "regulars" in the congregation have found their way, via PC, cell-phone, or land-line, to our virtual worship space, getting more comfortable with the tech with each service they attend.
If you'd like to participate in an online worship experience with us, you'll need to contact Pastor Rebecca via email/call (just once) to the church office. The day before each service, you'll be emailed an invitation with a link to the streaming video site. If you've never used the "Zoom" app, you'll need to let it download the (very small) app and walk thru a brief test to make sure your audio & video are connected / working correctly.
Services are recorded and made available on our "MEDIA" page, along with the Worship Bulletin for each service so you can follow along with the prayers, songs, psalms, etc.
For those who aren't in a rush to leave when the service concludes, participants can stay for a virtual "coffee hour", forming into smaller groups to chat... just as after a real service. (You'll need to bring your own coffee though...)
