Resuming In-Person Worship - Sunday Sept 27th at 9am
After many months, Saint Stephen Lutheran Church will be resuming "in-person" worship services in the Sanctuary this Sunday Sept 27th, at 9am.
have done extensive study into how other churches and faith organizations across the country have implemented their "returns", to use as a baseline model.
are also closely following Federal, State, and local requirements/guidelines to ensure we are in compliance with the legalities.
have leaned heavily on the resources available to congregations from the ELCA's Public Health resource page.
To help ensure a successful process, and a good experience for worshipers, the Church Council has created a set of "Reopening Guidelines", which will prepare church staff and attendees for what to expect. These include things like signing-in before the service, assigned seating to maintain social distance, a maximum of 25 worshipers per service, no congregational singing or spoken prayer/responses, and more. Additionally, reservations are required!
How to prepare:
Read the "Re-opening Guidelines" document, located on the church website: https://www.saintstephenofantioch.org/reopening-guidelines
Sign up for each service (as desired) using the SignUp-Genius website (link below), or call / email the church office. Requests for reservation will be taken in the order they are received, regardless of method used. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4dada92ea1fece9-worship
For those who are unable to attend in person, or are uncomfortable with gathering in groups due to COVID-19 concerns, we will continue to stream our services every Sunday morning via Zoom. Access to the live webcasts will still be via private link, so if you are not on the email list to receive the weekly invitations and worship materials... please contact the church office to be added.
